Health & Fitness Services

Altitude Body Performance Center is Aspen’s most innovative and holistic health and fitness facility. When you train at Altitude, your Pilates instructor, your personal trainer, your metabolic fitness coach and your massage therapist work closely together to ensure that your needs will be met and your goals will be reached. Let our experienced team be your personal pit crew for the active, Aspen lifestyle. Our specialties include:

  • Strength and conditioning for performance and general fitness.
  • Post rehabilitation and prevention of injuries.
  • Health and Longevity for all fitness levels and all ages.

Indoor Cycling – Our new Spinning studio will be complete in January 2013. Up to five participants will join our instructors in our beautiful studio in downtown Aspen. Our instructors are creative and experienced and our cycling programs will incorporate weights and toning (off the bike), yoga/ stretching, and other methods to keep you toned, fit, and flexible.

Personal Training – Our trainers meet the most rigorous hiring standards in Aspen. Altitude trainers are experienced, educated, and certified by the best organizations in the fitness industry. Our Specialties include:

  • Integrated training - Train for speed, agility, power, strength, endurance and flexibility. An Altitude trainer can help you prevent injury, manage chronic pain and improve all aspects of your performance.
  • Olympic weightlifting - Altitude has Aspen’s only Olympic lifting platform. Although the Olympic lifts are very advanced and aggressive, modified versions can be used to effectively improve coordination, strength, flexibility, and bone density for people of all ages and fitness levels. Our certified coaches can show you the way.
  • Russian Kettlebells - Kettlebells provide a fun and highly effective cardiovascular and resistance training workout simultaneously. They help to increase your flexibility and challenge your coordination. Kettlebell training places a high metabolic demand on you body. This makes kettlebell training very useful for burning fat and increasing muscle tone.

Physical Therapy – Tiffany Antos MSPT & Tina Anderson MSPT are two of the top Physical Therapy practitioners in Aspen. At Altitude, your Physical Therapist does not operate in the common “PT Mill” type of practice where you see your therapist for 20 minutes followed by exercise with an aid or intern. Tina and Tiffany spend an entire hour with each patient and integrate dry needling, movement analysis, and corrective exercises to get you back to peak performance.

Massage Services

Swedish massage – This traditional oil massage increases relaxation and gives you relief from sore muscles and stress. Swedish massage improves circulation and lymphatic drainage as it flushes wastes and inflammation from your muscles and fascia. Swedish massage calms your nervous system, promoting deep relaxation and reduction of stress. This type of massage will soothe your aching limbs and clear your mind.

Deep Tissue – This deeper, more penetrating therapy is excellent for addressing chronic tightness and pain in your body. Deep tissue work provides relief from musculoskeletal dysfunction and strain. This service includes techniques such as trigger point work, neuromuscular therapy, and myofascial release to separate adhesions, open deeper muscular and connective tissue layers and affect nervous system pain cycles.

Sports Massage – This specific massage is great for rehabilitation of injuries both recent and chronic. This skilled work is performed on or near the injured area in a way that properly addresses the related anatomy. This work effectively breaks up scar tissue, increases range of motion and helps get you back into proper alignment. A proper sports massage will allow you to get back to your favorite sports quickly and comfortably.
